Jason Idilbi, formerly a business litigator and now in-house legal counsel at Passport, the leading provider of mobile payment parking and transit software in North America (and Charlotte’s fastest growing private company), will be offering invaluable advice on the contracting process to make sure you hit the right balance between protecting you and your client’s interests.
Jason’s presentation will cover topics such as key terms common to service contracts, vendor management requirements, warranties, and ownership of intellectual property and work product.

Dr. Shehab has been selected as a finalist for the 2015 Bank of America Award for Teaching Excellence. This award is one of the most important and prestigious traditions at UNC Charlotte. This award honors outstanding teachers on our campus and provides an example of the University’s commitment to excellence in teaching.
Currently Dr. Shehab is teaching the mobile application development course (ITIS/CS 4180/5180). This is a course that was proposed and developed by Dr. Shehab. The course focuses on mobile application topics and mainly on Android.
Congratulations Dr. Paxton, has has been co-advised by Dr. Mohamed Shehab and Dr. Gail-Joon Ahn. Dr. Paxton is the first African American PhD. student to graduate from the Software and Information Systems Department. Congratulations and all the best in his future endeavors.
