About Me

Hi there! I am a Nigerian-American graduate student with an aptitude and desire to learn and apply cutting-edge IT principles in novel ways! Right now, I am in my first year of doctoral studies in Computing & Information Systems at UNC Charlotte. I obtained my B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Notre Dame in 2010, and continued on to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to pursue my graduate studies. I earned my M.S. in Information Assurance in December 2012, and it was funded by NSF through the “Scholarship for Service.” I am also a Google Scholar, and hopefully soon, an NSF Graduate Research Fellow.

My research interests include mobile application development and security, usable security, and healthcare informatics; my adviser is Dr. Mohamed Shehab. In my free time I like to work out and stay in shape, watch movies, read novels, and travel whenever I can. By the way, I am a HUGE geek when it comes to superheroes—SUPERMAN in particular! I am also a 2013-14 Graduate Life Fellow at UNC Charlotte, because I wanted to network with and provide direct guidance to graduate students as they navigate through their academic career and social lives. I look forward to meeting you and enhancing your graduate experience, as I know you will mine!
